BACHELOR OF ARTS IN THEOLOGY (AB Theology)


The college of Biblical Studies introduces the student to a comprehensive study of the biblical source of Christianity as well as its history, its doctrinal, ethical, and pastoral perspective including cross-cultural integrated with practical experiences.

The college also provides solid and rigorous training to spiritually and vocationally equip the students to a wide variety of church, mission-oriented and community based leadership and ministry.

BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION


The College of Education prepares teachers for the kindergarten, elementary, and secondary schools. It also provides general knowledge of the education program to those graduates of non-teachers coursers. The College believes that Jesus Christ is the real Master Teacher, thus, is the true model of excellence in educating man by the heart.

The main concern of the elementary education department is the preparation of teachers in the Pre-School and Elementary Levels, imbued with the ideals, aspirations and traditions of Philippine life and culture and sufficiently equipped with knowledge and influence in the Philosophy of Christian Education. The department aims to attain the highest possible standards in the education of children and youth as set forth by the Master Teacher. To achieve this goal, the department provides a balanced program of instruction and experiences.

BACHELOR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION – MAJOR IN ENGLISH


The College department welcomes every capable and qualified young person to the circle of future builders of the youth. Dedicating their lives in molding characters and shaping life destinies, the teachers in the department adhere to the principles set forth by Christ, the Master Teacher, so that the restoration of God’s image be realized.

At present, the department offers courses of specialization in the following areas: English and History (CHED GR# 056 s. 2009). Generally, degree requirements may be met between four and five years.

Teacher Certificate Program (TCP)


The Teacher Certificate Program (TCP) program is designed for those who have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in any field and who intend to teach at the secondary education level. In line with the provisions of RA 7836 (The Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994), the program aims to provide non-education degree holders with: -an understanding of the cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical characteristics of children/adolescents and how they develop and learn; -knowledge of subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students; -skills for managing and monitoring student learning; -a professional attitude about their practice, and an openness to adapt their teaching to innovative findings, ideas, and theories; Those who have completed the TCP are given a certification (and NOT a degree or diploma) that they have completed the 18-unit professional education requirement to be allowed to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) administered by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC).
