The Teacher Certificate Program (TCP) program is designed for those who have completed a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in any field and who intend to teach at the secondary education level. In line with the provisions of RA 7836 (The Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994), the program aims to provide non-education degree holders with: -an understanding of the cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical characteristics of children\/adolescents and how they develop and learn; -knowledge of subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students; -skills for managing and monitoring student learning; -a professional attitude about their practice, and an openness to adapt their teaching to innovative findings, ideas, and theories; Those who have completed the TCP are given a certification (and NOT a degree or diploma) that they have completed the 18-unit professional education requirement to be allowed to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) administered by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
